Out Of Hours (OOH) & Emergency Critical Care (ECC) / Referral Hospital Clinician | Nights
Salary: Up to £85,000 Subject to Experience/Qualifications
Location: Boldon Colliery - South Tyneside
Rota: 7 nights on | 14 nights off (rolling rota) - Open to discussion

Bridge Referrals, a purpose-built, independent multidisciplinary referral centre in the North East of England, is expanding, and we're inviting you to be part of something new.
We are excited to announce the launch of Emergency Vet Team (EVT), a new business separate from our existing referral center.
EVT is a brand-new out-of-hours and emergency veterinary service built from the ground up. Our vision is to deliver exceptional patient care while creating a workplace where veterinarians truly enjoy working in an emergency environment.
You will be working within a truly advanced clinical setting. Our state-of-the-art facilities include MRI, CT, ultrasound, endoscopy, arthroscopy, laparoscopy, fluoroscopy (dedicated theatre), separate wards, an in-house laboratory, operating microscope, advanced anaesthesia equipment, ventilators, and a comprehensive range of diagnostic and surgical tools.
This will be further enhanced by our new ICU/high-dependency unit, strengthening our ability to deliver exceptional care to complex and critically ill patients and ensuring gold-standard support for emergency cases.
The Role
As an OOH/ECC Veterinary Surgeon at EVT, you'll be at the frontline of emergency care, managing a varied and rewarding caseload including:
- Acute medical emergencies
- Trauma cases
- Critical care stabilisation
- Overnight inpatient management
You'll work in a well-equipped, purpose-designed environment with access to modern diagnostics and a team that understands the demands of ECC work.

We're looking for vets who are:
- MRCVS qualified and eligible to work in the UK
- Minimum of two years' experience in primary care practice
- Previous experience in Emergency & Critical Care and/or ICU is highly desirable
- Are confident in sole charge and decision-making
- Thrive in a fast-paced, unpredictable environment
- Are passionate about high standards of patient care
- Want to be part of building something new and meaningful
